About the street

Boulevard de Belgique, named after Belgium, crosses the slope of Les Moneghetti and the Jardin Exotique for nearly a kilometre. Its villas were Belle Époque and neo-classical – the Villa Belgica lost its egg-shaped dome for two extra storeys, the Villa Boutons d'Or of 1921 is by Charles Bernasconi – and several are on the State's list of remarkable buildings.
