About the street

Boulevard Albert-Ier, named after the navigator-prince Albert I, runs some 800 metres along Port Hercule, the inner straight of the Grand Prix that leads into the Sainte-Dévote corner. In the first editions of the race the start and finish were here; in 1955 they moved to the opposite straight by the harbour. Today it is a street of cafés and terraces facing the boats.
