The Synagogue Edmond-Safra, at 15 Avenue de la Costa, is the principality's only synagogue, inaugurated in March 2017 for the Association Cultuelle Israélite de Monaco, the community founded in 1948. It replaced the Villa Esméralda, a Belle Époque villa of 1887 converted into a synagogue and demolished in 2014.
