About the street
Boulevard Rainier-III, named after Rainier III, prince from 1949 to 2005, crosses the upper Moneghetti. It was a street of villas – the Italianate Villa Magali of 1890, the towered Villa des Garets of 1889 by Eugène Marquet – most of which have given way to apartment buildings since the 1980s.
