About the street
Rue Colonel-Bellando-de-Castro, named after the Monégasque officer Lucien Bellando de Castro, runs beside the cathedral and holds three seats of the state: the Palais de Justice of 1924–30, built on the site of the White Penitents' chapel; Charles III's government house of 1861–64, now the Council of State; and the site of the garrison's chapel of Saint Barbara.
