Where does the asking price sit?

The comparison is the place’s home sales, January – December 2025 – every kind of home together; no price per square foot.

Pick a county or a town and type the asking price. VERA PI places it against the median and the middle half (the 25th to the 75th percentile) of that place’s home sales – and says how many sales stand behind them.

The method

Every parcel in the state’s open layer, counted once.

Every figure on these pages comes from North Carolina statewide parcels (NC OneMap) and wake county's qualified sales (the county's own list), $10,000 or more, by the sale date; medians of ten or more, tied to the U.S. Census Bureau’s outlines of the counties.

No owners, buyers or sellers, no parcel lookup and no single sale – VERA PI shows parcel counts (every distinct parcel ID once) and medians of ten home sales or more; the middle half is the 25th to the 75th percentile. An assessed value is never shown as a value.
