Where does the asking price sit?

The comparison is the place’s home sales, January 2023 – December 2025 – every kind of home together; no price per square foot.

Pick a district or a town and type the asking price. VERA PI places it against the median and the middle half (the 25th to the 75th percentile) of that place’s home sales – and says how many sales stand behind them.

The method

Every parcel in the state’s open layer, counted once.

Every figure on these pages comes from the Integrated Tax System Public Extract (OCFO) and sales the office of tax and revenue marked qualified, of residential lots and condominium units, $10,000 or more, by the sale date; medians of ten or more, tied to the U.S. Census Bureau’s outlines of the districts and neighbourhoods.

  • DC GIS / OTR – Property Sales (CAMA)the sale history: date, price, qualified
  • DC GIS – Assessment Neighborhoodsthe outlines of OTR's assessment neighbourhoods
  • U.S. Census Bureau, TIGER/Line 2024 – counties and county subdivisionsthe outlines of the counties and towns on the maps and the cards

No owners, buyers or sellers, no parcel lookup and no single sale – VERA PI shows parcel counts (every distinct parcel ID once) and medians of ten home sales or more; the middle half is the 25th to the 75th percentile. An assessed value is never shown as a value.
