About the street

The Place du Casino was laid out with the Casino in July 1865, a garden of palms around a fountain in front of the gaming house; it is the «Casino Square» of the Grand Prix, where the cars arrive after the climb past Massenet. On its sides stand the Casino and Salle Garnier, the Hôtel de Paris with Le Louis XV and the Bar Américain, and the Café de Paris with its casino; the boutiques of One Monte-Carlo open just behind.
