The Église Saint-Nicolas, at 1 Place du Campanin, was part of Prince Rainier III's plan for the land won from the sea: completed in 1989, it was then the youngest church in the principality, and its three bells were blessed and the church consecrated on 22 October 1989. Beside its choir stands the baptismal font saved from the old cathedral, pulled down in the 1870s.
