The Maison de France, at 42 Rue Grimaldi, is a four-storey Belle Époque building with three large halls. It was founded on 16 March 1928 by the French community's charity committee with Prince Louis II and inaugurated that year; it hosted a branch of the National Resistance Committee at the end of the Second World War, has been a State building since July 2014, and still houses the French associations of Monaco.
