About the street

Avenue de l'Annonciade takes its name from the Annonciade, the sisters' order whose chapel still stands here. The crenellated Château de l'Annonciade of 1737 was pulled down in 1975 and the Belle Époque Villa Marcelle in 2015; Jean and José Notari's 111-metre L'Annonciade tower now marks the avenue, and three villas at no. 34 made way for the Tour Odéon in 2009.
