The house
Cheval Blanc Courchevel opened in 2006 in the Jardin Alpin, a contemporary chalet with its skis practically on the Trois Vallées.
It was the first house of the Cheval Blanc name, taken from the Bordeaux grand cru, and it was decorated by Sybille de Margerie.
Its restaurant, Le 1947 – named for Château Cheval Blanc's most celebrated vintage – seats some twenty-two guests at five tables.
The hotel received the Palace distinction in 2011 and, with 36 rooms and suites, opens for four months of the year.
